Craig Thompson is the General Manager and COO for Unified Consulting. Craig has decades of experience in the IP field focused on strategy, patent and technology licensing, and IP driven acquisitions. He joins us from TnT IP, LLC, a global IP consulting partnership he co-founded. Prior to TnT IP, Craig headed up the IP Group at Alcatel Lucent and Bell Labs and was on the Senior Leadership Team of Nokia’s Mobile Phones Group with responsibility for the Group’s IP and legal matters. Craig started his legal career as an associate and later as a partner with Finland’s largest law firm Roschier where he practiced IP, technology, energy, data protection, competition, communications, and M&A law for 10 years. Craig is a law graduate of the University of Helsinki (Masters of Law, 1994) and of the Columbia University Law School (LLM, 1997).

Kevin Jakel is a member of Unified Consulting’s board. Kevin has decades of experience in IP focused on strategy, litigation, and portfolio development.  For the last seven years, he has been the CEO and Founder of Unified Patents, a patent risk mitigation company helping companies manage patent litigation risk in strategic technology areas, including areas involving standard essential patents.  Prior to founding Unified Patents, Kevin served as Intuit’s Head of IP Litigation and before that practiced law at Kaye Scholer LLP and Howrey LLP.  His legal practice focused on patent litigation, IP strategy, and patent prosecution.  He began his career in IP as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.  Kevin graduated from George Washington University Law School (JD, 2004) and UCLA (BS, mechanical engineer 1997).
